The Windsor Terrace Motel in historic Windsor is set high on a bank of the magnificent Hawkesbury River, with surrounding Wollemi National Park. The Hawkesbury Region was discovered only one year after the First Fleet arrived and is the third-oldest place of British settlement on the Australian continent.

There are more classified buildings in the Hawkesbury than in the City of Sydney and many date back to the very early 1800s, including The Macquarie Arms Hotel built in 1815 which is the oldest pub standing and still being used for it's original purpose, The Ebenezer Church built in 1809, the first Presbyterian Church and the Tizzana vineyard, originally planted in 1882.

With over 15 percent of New South Wales fruit and vegetables grown in the area, pick up a copy of The Hawkesbury Farm Gate Trail map from the local Visitor Information Centre at Clarendon (opposite the Richmond RAAF Base) and tour the area.
