Things to See and Do in Tennant Creek

Steeped in the history of Gold Mining, Tennant Creek offers more than just a stopover for the night. Spend a little extra time in and around the town and uncover some of the hidden treasures.

Learn about the local Warumungu people, their art and customs at Nyinkka Nyunyu Culture Centre. Walk thru an underground mine at Battery Hill. Explore the Telegraph Station and unlock doors to the past or try to unravel the mystery of the Kunjarra (The Pebbles).

Drive up to the Bill Allen Lookout to view the spectacular town and surrounds. Maybe your first game of golf on sand scrapes or a simple picnic and walk around Mary-Ann dam. There’s something for everyone.
