Things to see and do in Queenstown

Go trout fishing at Lake Burbury, take a Gordon River Cruise with World Heritage Cruises, ride on a steam locomotive on the West Coast Wilderness Railway, tour an underground mine, visit Evans Old Corner Store and market and the Galley Museum. Be sure to check out a game on Queenstown's infamous gravel football ground. The area also offers magnificent rainforest, historic ruins, wild ocean beaches, 4WD adventure tours, and the charming fishing village of Strahan.

Finding us

As you enter Queenstown from either direction follow the main road, Driffield Street through to the town centre. Opposite the Wilderness Railway Station you will find Orr Street. If you're coming from the north, turn left into Orr Street just before the Empire Hotel. Proceed up Orr street and you will see the Post Office on the right. The next intersection is Bowe Street. Queenstown Motor Lodge is the white building on the corner, on the same side of the road as the Post Office.
