Metro Hotels' expansion began with the acquisition of several Sydney properties in the late 1970s, before growing through the 1980s and 90s to include landmark hotels in Canberra, Perth and Brisbane. The group's portfolio later extended into Queensland, the Northern Territory, South Australia and Victoria, reflecting a growing national presence shaped by Australia's evolving cities. Today, Metro Hospitality Group operates eight hotels across NSW, WA and the NT, with the upcoming Metro Hotel Martin Place set to open in central Sydney.
